Entering its eighth year in 2016, the Channel 4 Plannertarium brought together some of the industry’s greatest minds for a stellar day (and night) of inspiration, insight and debate. This year, we looked at the world of Millennials.


Generation Y are a tricky bunch for advertisers. The ubiquity of smartphones and the proliferation of new technology is driving change in their lives at an incredible rate. An epidemic of FOMO and an ‘always on’ culture should mean there are more opportunities than ever to reach this valuable demographic. But commercial messages are battling for attention with an audience preoccupied by new concerns such as their social profile, doubts about self-esteem and more awareness of future worries than any generation before them.


As an expert in communicating to young people in this modern world, Channel 4 presented the 2016 Plannertarium, dedicated to the Millennial Audience.
