Diversity in Advertising Award 2019
We are delighted to reveal that the 2019 brief for our Diversity in Advertising Award will be the representation of the LGBT+ community in advertising. The LGBT+ focus has been chosen following the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and from the findings of the world's biggest study into inclusivity of TV Advertising, commissioned by Channel 4 and YouGov. The study shows that not only are the LGBT+ community underrepresented appearing in just 3% of commercials, which is around half the actual population estimate, but also when they are represented they are rarely in lead roles. Applications are open now, and close on 10th July.
4Upfront, 5th June
The 2019 4 Sales Upfront returned on 5th June to London’s iconic Roundhouse, bigger and better than ever before, with over 1200 guests from across the UK advertising industry joining us for our second Summer version of the event. This year also marked our first ever pre-event Upclose, which took place directly before the Upfront, to a select 120-strong audience.
