Monday 26th October

Food Unwrapped Investigates - 8.30pm on Channel 4

In this new spin-off series, Kate Quilton uncovers the truth behind some of Britain's most shocking food headlines. Kate meets the case studies behind the stories; explores the science with academy and industry experts; conducts experiments; and asks tough questions of those in control. The topics explored include hospital food, eating issues, deadly food allergies, and celebrity-endorsed diet pills. In the first episode, Kate investigates the world of severe food allergies. Reports warn of surging food allergies in the UK. But are the food industry and government taking them seriously enough? Kate meets people from both sides of the debate; including the parents of 15-year-old Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who died after eating a sandwich. Kate also enlists the help of a team of allergy sufferers, who go undercover at a host of different London eateries to see how they are treated, before hearing from an anonymous Michelin star restaurateur, who argues that allergy protection is just the nanny state gone mad.

President Trump Tweets From The Whitehouse - 9pm on Channel 4

Franklin D. Roosevelt was known for his 'fireside talks': radio broadcasts to the nation that hid the fact that he used a wheelchair. It's widely thought JFK won the presidency because he was so good on television. But even a few years ago, no one could have imagined we would now be in the middle of the first social media presidency. Donald Trump has tweeted tens of thousands of times since becoming President, giving the American people unique access to his innermost, unedited thoughts, and giving him access to his 'base' - without the interference of the traditional media. From his very first tweet (about appearing on Letterman, as the host of The Apprentice), through his rise to political prominence through the birther movement, through the 2016 campaign, and then an administration carried out in 140 characters or less, this is the story of how, whether they have caused problems and controversies, or, seemingly, solved intractable foreign policy problems, tweets have changed American politics forever. As we head into a bitter election, overshadowed by Black Lives Matter and the coronavirus, the American people have their chance to judge the Twitter president.

Damilola: The Boy Next Door - 9pm on Channel 4

Yinka Bokinni is a successful radio DJ, TV presenter and writer. But 20 years ago, she was one of the kids growing up on the North Peckham Estate in south London, a place that became notorious when 10-year-old Damilola Taylor was stabbed and left alone to die in a lonely stairwell. Within months, the entire estate had been bulldozed and all the residents resettled, with Peckham demonised as a 'no-go area' riddled with drugs, gangs and violence. But Yinka remembers an idyllic childhood, surrounded by a loving family and friends in a tight-knit community. And the boy they all called 'Dami' was her friend. Now, at the age of 30, and marking the 20th anniversary of Damilola's death, Yinka is ready to confront for the first time the devastating impact her friend's death had on her community and the lives of almost everyone she knew, as she discovers that she is not alone in having grown up never mentioning Damilola, or even wanting to admit that she is from Peckham. Yinka attempts to reconcile two versions of her past: the warm, loving and happy community she remembers so fondly that was presented in the media as a crime-ridden 'sink estate' blamed for the tragic loss of a young life. In a moving and reflective film that explores loss and trauma, Yinka meets childhood friends as well as local kids who grew up to do amazing things: people like Top Boy star Ashley Walters; Cornelius Walker who told his own Damilola-inspired story about race and community in the Oscar-nominated film Black Sheep; and music producer Tinyman, who was the last to see Damilola on the day he died. Showing as part of Channel 4's programming for Black History Month, which offers an important platform for different aspects of the Black experience in modern Britain.

Maxxx: Guess Who’s Back? - 10pm on Channel 4

Hilariously outrageous comedy series that offers a rude and cringe-inducing peek behind the pop world's curtain. Former boyband star turned drug-shamed tabloid laughing stock Maxxx (O-T Fagbenle) may be down, but he's not out. He's trying to make a comeback to prove to the world - but mostly to his supermodel ex-girlfriend Jourdan (Jourdan Dunn) - that he's not the massive loser everyone says he is. But with his adopted teenage son Amit (Alan Asaad) in serious need of daddy advice, his cousin/superfan/stalker Rose (Helen Monks) popping up around every corner, and most people assuming he's dead, the journey back to superstardom won't be easy. In a last-ditch attempt at a comeback, Maxxx tries to rehash things with his old boy band Boytown and pleads for the help of music mogul Don Wild (Christopher Meloni). With wannabe international manager Tamzin (Pippa Bennett-Warner) by his side, can Maxxx rise to the challenge?

The whole series is available to stream or download for free on All 4 following the transmission of the first episode, on Thursday 29 October.

Blockers - 9pm on Channel 4

When three parents get wind of their daughters being part of a prom night sex pact to lose their virginities, they take it upon themselves to put a stop to said shenanigans in this teen comedy directed by the writer of Pitch Perfect, Kay Cannon. The film opens with three little girls on their first day at school and three parents bonding over their daughters' friendships - Lisa (Leslie Mann), Hunter (Ike Barinholtz) and Mitchell (John Cena) or, in his words, 'Kayla's (Geraldine Viswanathan) hero'. Fast forward 11 years and the girls have grown up everywhere but in their parents' heads. Or, at the very least, their parents are struggling to accept that their daughters have grown up - high fives instead of chest bumps from here on in. So, prom night was always going to be tough. A rite of passage, a coming of age, a party with booze where boys get big ideas. Lisa, Hunter and Mitchell would sail through it with a little denial. But unfortunately, denial is denied them when Julie (Kathryn Newton) leaves her laptop open on her social media feed and, well, the three parents just can't help snooping; it's the responsible thing to do, right? Well, back at them, because now they know their angelic daughters have entered #sexpact2018. They plan to lose their virginities on prom night, don't they? Well, in that case, Lisa, Hunter and Mitchell must do everything they can to stop them. That's the responsible thing to do, right?
